Program

Little Tots Daycare is licensed through Arlington County and the State of Virginia. We are also apart of the USDA food program and MAT certified (Medication Administration Training). We strive to making your experience with our home daycare, one you will never forget. Here at Little Tots Daycare we do not enforce a “strict” schedule, but allow children to learn through their own imagination and creativity. We encourage children of all ages with activities to challenge their abilities. Mostly we focus on free play while engaging with children with a low student teacher ratio in order to really focus on each child’s strengths. We incorporate not only teachings like colors, numbers, letters etc., but also try and focus on social and emotional aspects of a child’s growth. In a nutshell our goal is to provide a home like your home for you children while you are away taking care of them in other ways.

Here at Little Tots we believe communication is key. Making sure your children, caregivers and you as parents are on the same page is very important. We encourage parents to keep an open line of communication so we are able to do our best in taking care of your child. We will be sending you home with all the information about your child’s activities for the day. It includes feedings, diaper changes, naps and all the fun stuff we do throughout the day. We would also like parents to give us feedback about how the child did at home so we know if there is something to look out for or keep an eye on. We try and do everything we can to give your children the best care possible.

We are part of the USDA food program which ensures your child is getting the best nutrition possible. We understand how hectic it can be with a busy work schedule and everything else going on. To make things easier for you as parents we make home made meals for your children to enjoy while they are in our care. We provide breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day. Since we are paired with the food program we make sure all foods served are up to standards in terms of nutrition. Allergies have become a growing concern and we will work with you to accommodate all your child’s needs.

Being MAT certified means we are able to administer medicine if/when necessary. Although it is something we only like to do out of necessity, if your child has the need for medication during daycare hours we are able to accommodate that also. Just be advised additional paperwork will be involved.

Very simply our daycare is setup so you have peace of mind your child is well taken care of and that your child feels loved and comfortable.
